Triple Word Score.....
Phew.....I'm pooped. This weekend heralded the "Because Christian said so" party. Friends (BJD, Porter, & Casey) from Mobile came up and a good time was had by all. The primary source of inebriation was two kegs of Yuengling (we floated the first one Friday night). I was very impressed with the quality of said brew, for I had never experience the beery goodness of this brand before.
The house we were parting at was amazing, the kitchen was huge in comparison to most kitchen's I've seen. The back deck was pretty nice too. Saturday night it was a little cooler outside and a slight breeze picked up. Twas very nice.
Some pretty big events occurred all weekend at said party. First, their was a Big'J sighting. I was able to take him with us the first night and get him to drink some beer (Objective #1). I think we might have freaked him out a bit though. Within five minutes of arriving someone shouted at him across the room, "You're last name is <>". Apparently, Big'J's 7th grade teacher's daughter was at the party and remembered him. We also discovered that our hostess is the B'ham area President (?) of Big'J's wife's sorority. So he was grilled about that too. Pretty amazing.
Second, Kyra AND Erin came out with us on Saturday night. Originally Erin was supposed to be studying for her realtors license and wouldn't come, so we figured Kyra would bail too. Fate denied the "supposed to's" and both came (Objective #2). They seemed to have a good time and we even talked them into going to Shoney's with us for breakfast the next morning (Bonus Objective).
Brian somehow defied his inner nature and made it as well (Objective # 3). I actually lost money because he appeared (I had bet he wouldn't.....I owe somebody a coke now). Strangely enough he eventually talked his roommate/friend Jeremy to show up with girlfriend (Bonus Objective). It was great to see them, and Brian (with a little coaxing from me) collected a young ladies phone number (Double Bonus Objective with Triple Word Score).
So to recap:
Total Victory Points scored for this battle: 40 VP
Any way you look at it, that's a battle won!

Sweet! I feel that I contributed to a winning game. The party was excellent and I promise I'm going to be out more. We need to hang out more! Call! Later.
