Coming to theatres everywhere...."We Is Stupid"...

Went to see "I Am Legend" this weekend. I liked it better than most of the critics did. It struck me as a more cerebral movie than I had anticipated and a little more jumpy-horror than expected. Thought Will Smith did a good job playing the last man on earth and the dog did well too. If any of you go and see it, you should know that the movie doesn't completely answer all the questions you might have. They leave a number of things open for your interpretation (or possible sequels/prequels).

Unfortunately, my movie experience wasn't that great. A couple sits down one seat over from me and I notice they have a 1 - 1.5 year child with them. Did they not see the previews and know that this movie is a horror/creature film? Who in their right mind brings their 1 year old child to a film like this? Not only do you have the child screaming and bothering other theatre goers, but you risk giving the little beastie nightmares on top of no 1 year old who is just discovering their voice is going to shut the hell up for almost two hours straight. Strangely enough, my neighboring couple weren't the only ones to bring a young child. I think there were at least three more under the age of 6 floating around the theatre.

And then, there is the couple that sat in the row behind me. The woman must have been about the dumbest person on the planet. Every three seconds, "What's going on? What is he doing? I don't understand!" Now I'm not one to sit in complete silence through a movie, but come on. When BJD runs the country, I'm going to ask him to put mandatory IQ tests in place so that stupid people aren't allowed in.

So in summation, $7 spent for a good movie and further indication that humans are just about the dumbest, most annoying creatures in existence.
